Billecart-Salmon

The Billecart-Salmon Champagne House was founded by Nicholas Billecart and his wife Elisabeth Salmon. The House has been named after them since its foundation in 1818, and is still owned by this family. Billecart-Salmon is no ordinary champagne: wine critics rate the vinery as one of the best in the Champagne region. The House is a member of the Syndicat des Grandes Marques; in 2018 Drinks International rated it as one of the 5 most respected champagne houses in the world.
Billecart-Salmon's unique champagne is made from grapes grown in a 100 hectare vineyard close to Epernay, the north-east of France. The region's highest-quality Grand Cru vineyards, known worldwide, are located here. The wine is aged for at least three years in Billecart-Salmon's famous chalky cellars, which maintain a constant temperature of 12 degrees.
The Billecart-Salmon Champagne House is considered to be a benchmark for its class. In addition to their superb tasting qualities, the wines have another, no less important characteristic: long shelf life.
The Cuvee Nicolas-Francois Billecart 1959 won first place in the 1999 Champagne of the Millennium competition, out of 150 of the 20th century's finest champagnes!
Billecart-Salmon Brut Rose is considered to be one of the finest rose champagnes in the world.
