Novabev Group has begun modernizing its cybersecurity system
Following the July hacking incident, the Novabev Group is reevaluating its approach to protecting its IT infrastructure. Modern cyber threats necessitate the constant development of security systems. In collaboration with leading cybersecurity experts, Novabev Group is conducting an analysis of the incident and implementing the necessary changes to counter new challenges.
In accordance with the principle of transparency, we are informing interested parties of the measures taken and conclusions drawn following the incident.
Despite the difficulties caused by the hackers demanding a ransom for decrypting data, the Novabev Group has restored its key business processes. Product shipments are currently being carried out through all sales channels. WineLab stores have been operating as usual since July 20, and the chain's online platforms have been restored, including the ability to place orders via the app or website.
The attack demonstrated the need to continuously improve protective mechanisms in the face of growing cyber threats, while ensuring cyber resilience for businesses requires time and constant attention. As part of the modernization program, additional measures have been implemented and more are planned. These include strengthening round-the-clock threat monitoring, restructuring the network infrastructure based on maximum segmentation principles, and creating a more reliable data backup system. These actions are an important first step in the long-term work to strengthen the group's cybersecurity. We would like to thank our partners for their assistance and look forward to continuing our collaboration, recognizing that new threats necessitate constant modernization.
The team's awareness of cybersecurity issues will be raised, with a focus on countering modern hacking schemes. This will minimize the risk of future incidents and create a security culture at all levels of the group.
We would like to apologize once again to our customers and partners for the temporary disruptions in product availability. We also want to express our sincere gratitude for your patience and support during this time.
