Mankai
Mankai is a Japanese gin. Its name, meaning “full bloom”, serves as a poetic homage to Hanami — the cherished tradition of viewing cherry blossoms.
Distilled at the Akita distillery in its namesake prefecture on Honshu island, Mankai is crafted to an age-old recipe. Here, classic gin botanicals like juniper, coriander, and orris root are artfully balanced with rare Asian ingredients: yuzu and orange zest. This harmonious blend gives the spirit a distinct floral-citrus profile, accented by subtle hints of licorice and spice.
The delicate and balanced character of this gin is shaped by the unique terroir of Akita Prefecture, a land that unfolds along the Sea of Japan coast beneath the peaks of the Ou Mountains.
