Golubitskoe Estate premium wine sales exceeding the threshold of 1 million bottles

BELUGA GROUP sold more than 1 million bottles of Golubitskoe Estate premium still wines in 2020. The brand showed a 140% growth year-on-year.

Golubitskoe Estate wines took the leading positions for Russian premium domestic dry wines, those priced over RUB 400 per bottle. According to store sales data from the top 13 retail chains — Azbuka Vkusa, AUCHAN, WineLab, Verny, Globus, Dixi, Karusel, Lenta, METRO, O'KAY, Perekrestok, Magnit, and Pyaterochka — Golubitskoe Estate wines led sales with 23% of the market in their category. According to BELUGA GROUP estimates, these retail chains account for approximately 70% of premium wine sales in Russia.

The winery plans to launch a few novelties for 2021, including a line of super-premium wines for the HoReCa channel.

BELUGA GROUP's CEO Alexander Mechetin commented on the achievements, stating: "One million bottles is an important milestone that the Golubitskoe Estate wines have reached in less than two years. This was made possible by a combination of a few factors.

The superior taste of Golubitskoe Estate wines has consistently garnered high praise from Russia's leading enologists and sommeliers and has won it numerous awards, including gold medals at the Prodexpo International Wine Competition, the International Professional Wine and Spirit Competition, and the Leo Golitsyn International Wine Competition, and others. In 2020, Golubitskoe Estate Pinot Noir Reserve 2018 and Golubitskoe Estate Cabernet Sauvignon made their way into the Russian Wine Guide's top 10 best red wines.
