BELUGA GROUP is testing pick-up points in the WineLab retail chain
BELUGA GROUP’s in-house retail chain WineLab continues to develop electronic commerce and the winelab.ru platform. Online purchases of the store’s products are currently carried out by the click & collect system, which implies that the buyer makes an order using the application or website and then picks it up at the nearest store. To make the checkout process more comfortable for customers, a pilot project for the installation of pick-up point equipment – a system for automatic storage of orders made online – was launched in several WineLab stores in August. Due to this innovation, customers who have made a purchase online can pick it up without a queue at a convenient time from the automatic post office and check it in a special area of the store. An additional advantage of this project, especially during an unstable epidemiological situation, is the reduction in the number of сlients, who are simultaneously present in the store, due to the separation of customers' flows – those who make purchases in the store and via the Internet. If the pilot project is successfully launched, the project will be scaled to several dozen stores, where the largest number of online orders takes place.
